OpenTabs.ai ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share your personal information when you use our platform. By using OpenTabs.ai, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and the answers you provide during profile setup. These answers may include information about your goals, habits, personal circumstances, and what motivates you. By completing your profile, you are explicitly consenting to this collection and its use for personalizing your experience. You may update or delete this information at any time through your account settings.
Each time you use OpenTabs.ai, we collect the "brain dump" text you enter, the AI-generated action plan produced from it, and metadata such as timestamps, session IDs, and actions you take (e.g., committing to a move, skipping a tab). We store this data to provide you with a record of your sessions and to improve your experience over time.
We automatically collect standard usage information including your IP address, browser type, operating system, pages visited, and time spent on the platform. This helps us maintain platform security and improve performance.
All payment processing is handled by Stripe, our third-party payment processor. We do not store credit card numbers or other sensitive financial data on our servers. Please review Stripe's Privacy Policy for details on how your payment data is handled.
We use your information to: provide and personalize the OpenTabs.ai service; generate AI-powered action plans tailored to your profile; send you session follow-up emails and reminders (with opt-out available); improve our AI models and platform features; process payments and manage your subscription; and communicate product updates and support.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.
Your session content is processed by OpenAI's API to generate action plans. OpenAI processes this data subject to their Privacy Policy. By using OpenTabs.ai, you consent to this processing. We do not use your data to train OpenAI's base models.
We retain your account and session data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or legitimate business purposes (such as fraud prevention).
We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), encrypted storage, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure; we encourage you to use a strong password and notify us immediately of any suspected unauthorized access.
You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you; correct inaccurate data; request deletion of your data; export your data in a portable format; and opt out of marketing communications at any time. We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. You may disable cookies in your browser, but this may affect your ability to log in.
OpenTabs.ai is not intended for users under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child, we will delete it promptly.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
